I Got A Box
/Due to scheduling issues with my Birthday being on the 26th and other peoples idea of whats important, like going to work, I was presented with my presents and birthday dinner early this year. It is a running joke in my family (and probably everybody's) that when we open a present that is in a cardboard box we enthusiastically proclaim "I got a box!"
This year I literally got a box.
It's not just any box though. It's The Bigger, Blacker Box from Cards Against Humanity, the game for terrible people. I can confirm that I find most of the cards extremely humorous. Therefor I am a terrible person.
Also, I received tickets to "The Book of Mormon" playing this weekend at the PAC. I am very excited. As soon as I saw it was going to be in town last spring I marked the date the tickets would go on sale. Of course by that time I had convinced myself that I did not really need to see the show, especially since it was on marathon weekend and my wife's work schedule was still unknown at the time.
The tickets come from of my mother, who is in Minnesota right now. Thanks and much love!
Dinner consisted of one of the tastiest New York Strip steaks I have ever eaten with grape tomatoes, blue cheese, turkey bacon bits, and roasted red potatoes.
Dessert was chocolate cup cakes with peanut butter frosting and a surprise. The surprise being chocolate pudding and peanut butter cups at the center of each cupcake. They were to die for. Literally. I can feel my arteries clogging as I type.
It's a good thing I am running a marathon on Sunday.
